Bio
Kamryn Rose is an American artist and alchemist. Kamryn graduated from Boise State University where she earned her Bachelors of Fine Art degree with emphasis in Time-Based Media. Before moving to Boise in 2021, Kamryn received her Associates in Arts at Tulsa Community College in Oklahoma where she was raised. There, she spent several years giving back to her community through assistant teaching art classes at the Tulsa Art Center. In her youth, Kamryn studied dance for 15 years and until college, was a self taught artist and illustrator. This background influences her work today which showcases a great captivation with the body and values the physicality of the body in a way only a dancer could. She brings her interest in folklore, history, and personal life experiences to the content of her work. Mediums such as video, painting, drawing, and soft sculpture, play key roles in articulating different facets of herself. This approach results in works which act as portals to other planes of consciousness that give a cathartic and psychological experience to the viewer.
